EuroAfrica-ICT Awareness Workshops have been regularly organised by the EuroAfrica-ICT successive Partnerships in sub-Saharan Africa since 2006.
These workshops aim at raising awareness on FP7/ICT and at enhancing Euro-African collaborative projects on ICT research. 50-70 delegates (Institutions | National and international organisations | SMEs | Academia | Research institutes | etc.) are expected to attend the next Regional EuroAfrica-ICT FP7 Awareness Workshop (the 14th of its series) to be held on November 3-4, 2010 at the University of Mauritius. This 2-day workshop will be prepared and organised by the AUF (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie – Part of the EuroAfrica-ICT consortium).
With the main objective of raising awareness on collaboration/funding opportunities offered to sub-Saharan African organisations by the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7), this workshop is designed for everyone with an interest in ICT research and in Euro-African collaborative projects (Senior representatives from governments | Representatives from international development cooperation agencies | ICT project managers | Programme managers | Heads of research labs | IT engineers | Deans, directors, lecturers and researchers from universities and the higher education sector | Managers of NGOs, professional associations, centres of excellence, trade unions, chambers of commerce, etc. | Industry stakeholders | etc.).
